Invitation to apply for Knight fellowships
ICFJ invites applications from eligible candidates to apply for the upcoming Knight fellowships.These fellowships will facilitate launching a network of women citizen journalists reporting on gender issues in India or Pakistan; and create an online platform that maps citizen generated reports on crime and corruption in Pakistan.

Country: India or Pakistan
Project Description: Launch a network of women citizen journalists who report on issues that affect women to a website hosted by a morning TV show and women’s magazine. Train women citizen journalists to send reports to the website via email, SMS and social media.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 10 years of combined experience in journalism, and Web and mobile technologies (reporting and/or development)
Experience in gender reporting
Fluency in Hindi or Urdu
Demonstrated entrepreneurial skills
Excellent organizational skills

Country: Pakistan
Project Description: Create an online platform that maps citizen-generated reports on crime and corruption. Train journalists to identify trends, verify and investigate citizen reports for stories about crime and corruption. Work with media, civil society and other partners to generate public-service announcements to solicit citizen reports via email, social media and SMS for the map.
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 10 years of combined experience in journalism, and Web and mobile technologies (reporting and/or development)
Experience in investigative reporting
Fluency in Urdu
Demonstrated entrepreneurial skills
Excellent organizational skills
