Panos South Asia Media Awards for HIV and AIDS reportage in Bangladesh presented 

Panos South Asia's Media Awards for HIV and AIDS reportage in  Print  and Broadcast media were presented to twelve awardees at a function held at the BRAC centre Inn, Dhaka  on 24th May,2008. The cash awards of 15,000 Taka each was given for reports and features published or broadcast between July and December 2007.The 12 were selected from 82 submissions from 27 journalists across Bangladesh by a distinguished panel of judges:Mostafa Kamal Majumder, Editor, The New Nation; Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Editor, The Bangladesh Observer and Lazeena Muna McQuay, Social Mobilisation & Partnerships Adviser, UNAIDS
